Great Blue Heron Study
It Takes a Colony to Raise a Heron
GREAT BLUE HERON nesting colony records are being updated.
If you know of any nesting herons, contact Trudy Davis. It is
important that the State's data on the birds is current. They
are easily disturbed during the nesting season. Knowing where
their colonies are so that they can be monitored and protected
is vital. New colonies evolve every now and then so the state
needs our help. Contact Trudy at 360-732-4084 or e-mail her at ilwu21@olympus.net. Two
or more nests is a colony.
