Audubon Resources:


National Audubon Website. The mission of the National Audubon Society is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds and other wildlife for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity. Founded in 1905, the National Audubon Society is named for John James Audubon (1785-1851), famed ornithologist, explorer, and wildlife artist. http://www.audubon.org

Audubon Washington Website. The mission of the National Audubon Washington State office is to strengthen chapter effectiveness, protect wildlife habitat, convey the relationship between habitat protection, human opportunity and sustainable economies, and be a recognized voice for the environment in Washington. http://www.audubon.org/chapter/wa/wa/index.html

Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society  was founded in the early 1970s as a chapter of the National Audubon Society. It is one of 26 chapters in Washington state (and one in Victoria BC) that comprise the Audubon Council of Washington.  The geographic domain of Olympic Peninsula Audubon, as defined by the chapter and by automatic assignment of new members by National Audubon, is Clallam County. http://www.olympicpeninsulaaudubon.org

Dungeness River Audubon Center: The Dungeness River Audubon Center is intended to enable residents, students and visitors to enjoy and understand the unique natural character of the Olympic Peninsula, with special focus on the Dungeness River and watershed.  http://www.dungenessrivercenter.org/
