Tired of birding solo or feeling like the youngest person on the trail? Whether you’re a "hardcore" lister or you just think owls are cool, come hang out with the Next Gen Birders for our very first Birds & Beers event!
Kitsap Audubon is launching this series specifically for the 20s, 30s, and "young-at-heart" crowd. No gatekeeping, no pressure—just a low-key evening to meet other nature-loving locals, grab a drink, and see what’s flying around Silverdale.
📍 The Game Plan: The Golden Hour Walk (5:00 PM): We’re meeting at the Clear Creek Trail in Silverdale. We’ll take a casual sunset stroll through the wetlands to spot some Great Blue Herons, Wood Ducks, and whatever else is active. It’s the perfect "decompress after work" vibe.
The After-Party: Once the light fades, we’re heading over to Silver City Brewery to snag a table. We’ll talk shop, swap trail recommendations, and actually get to know the local birding community over a pint.
📋 The Lowdown:
When: Friday, April 3rd @ 5:00 PM
Where: Clear Creek Trail (Silverdale) — Meeting at the Silverdale Rotary Park, 11601 Silverdale Way NW, Silverdale, WA 98383
Who: Geared toward young adults (20s/30s), but open to any bird-curious folks.
All Ages Walk: The trail portion is open to everyone.
21+ for Brews: While the walk is all-ages, the social at Silver City Brewery is 21+ for alcohol. (They have solid non-alcoholic options and food, too!)
