Join Kitsap Audubon Society as we celebrate freedom, community, and heritage at the annual Juneteenth Freedom Festival! Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Dating back to June 19, 1865, this day is now a National Holiday—and we invite you to celebrate it with us at the beautiful Evergreen Rotary Park for a day of food, fun, and live entertainment.
The People’s March
The festivities begin with The People’s March, a community walk for unity and reflection.
Step-off: 10:00 AM
Starting Point: Norm Dicks Government Center
Destination: Evergreen Rotary Park
While the Kitsap Audubon team won’t be in the march itself (we’ll be busy getting our booth ready to welcome you!), we highly encourage everyone to participate in this powerful community tradition before heading over to the park!
