Christmas Bird Count - Kitsap Circle

Join our bird-watching tradition! The Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is North America's longest-running community science survey, dating back to 1900. Instead of the old "side hunt," we count birds, helping to provide critical data on bird populations for ornithologists and conservation efforts. No experience is necessary—volunteers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate in this fun and meaningful annual event!

Mark your calendars! We are hosting two separate count circles this season on Saturday, December 14, 2024, and Saturday, January 4, 2025. Whether you join a field team or count birds from the comfort of your own backyard, your contribution is invaluable. Become a community scientist and help us continue this vital tradition!
