We are thrilled to host ornithologist Scott Markowitz, Director of Research at the Puget Sound Bird Observatory (PSBO). Scott will delve into the fascinating and often complex process of molt in birds—covering the "why" and "how," its evolutionary foundation, and how understanding molt can significantly improve your birding skills!

Scott's presentation will also share the critical work being done by the PSBO bird banding lab, including their involvement in the nation-wide MAPS (Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship) network.
