Western Red: Kitsap Audubon’s First Trivia Night

This past Saturday, the air at Poulsbo’s Western Red Brewery was filled with the sounds of friendly chatter and the rustle of brain cells working overtime! The Kitsap Audubon Society (KAS) successfully hosted its very first Bird Trivia Night.

We were thrilled to see 17 enthusiastic participants show up, ready to put their local ornithological knowledge to the test. It was a fantastic opportunity for our community to gather, socialize, and bond over a shared passion for our feathered friends.

The Ultimate Bird Brain Challenge

The questions, expertly crafted by KAS's own Justin Carrington, had a special focus on local birds and Audubon activities right here in Kitsap County. From the color of eggs to scientific name to identifying species by picture, the 20-question quiz (plus 2 bonus points!) truly challenged everyone’s bird IQ.

A huge congratulations to our winning team, who proved their birding prowess by scoring a magnificent 12 out of 20 points! They certainly earned their bragging rights!

More than the competition, the highlight of the evening was the wonderful atmosphere of camaraderie. Everyone had a great time mingling, sharing birding stories, and getting to know fellow nature lovers. It was a perfect blend of learning and socializing in a relaxed and fun setting.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support this new event.
