The Kitsap Audubon Society is proud to partner with Enl!ghten to welcome back the acclaimed wildlife photographer and author, Paul Bannick. In this captivating presentation, Paul will explore his new book, The Life of North American Woodpeckers.
Through more than 200 never-before-published photographs and firsthand stories, Paul will guide us through the seasons of a woodpecker's life—from the boreal forests of Alaska to the oak woodlands of the West and the pine forests of Mexico. Discover their vital role as keystone species and learn what we can do to protect their critical habitats.
His work has been featured in The New York Times, Audubon Magazine, and on PBS and NPR.
